- Raise the Roof’s signature event, Gala of Stars: Dancing for the Cause, is back for its eleventh year with a legendary twist. On November 14 at WoodWinds of Branford, the spotlight will shine on unforgettable dancers from the past decade and new stars with legendary ties to Raise the Roof’s mission. Together, they’ll step onto the ballroom floor to raise the roof and the bar on dancing for a cause that builds homes, hope, and community. The dancers are competing for votes from the public and dollars=votes. Vote here and vote often! Voting is open now through the final gala dance performance.

- Raise the Roof got its start in 2003 as a small grassroots organization called Madison Cares. Now, the gift of a building lot at 24 Old Schoolhouse Road in Madison is bringing building a home and raising a roof back to where the idea of being community that builds was conceived.
